Making Botanical Roses

I was asked how I made the flowers for my Photo Box project,
so I thought I would make a quick tutorial post!

Step 1: Stamp the Botanical Rose flower in brown ink and die cut with the
Botanical Wings die. Colour the flower centres with ColorBox Harvest ink
and the outer of the petals with ColorBox Berrylicious ink.

For each flower you will need two layers of the same size and one smaller
for the centres of the flowers.

Step 2: Ink the edges of the petals to create shading with the
ColorBox Berrylicious ink.

Step 3: For the two larger layers. Mist the back of the petals and using the
Flower Shaping Tools  shape the back of the flower.

Step 4: Turn the flower over and shape around the edge of the centre
to bring the petals upwards.

Step 5: For the smaller centre of the flower, colour the backs of the petals and
shape from the front of the petals in a straight motion to bring the flower inwards.

Step 6: Adhere the layers together so the petals overlap the gaps on each layer.

Step 7: To make smaller individual flowers use the smaller flowers and snip
with scissors along the lines on the back.

Step 8: Turn the flower over to the back and mist and shape.

Step 9: Tun the flower to the front and using a small shaping tool
shape the centres so the petals come upwards.

Step 10: Adhere Prills to the flower centres. Stamp, colour, cut and shape
the Classic Rose Vines to go with your flowers.

All that is left to do now is use them on your projects!
Have fun!
